Any beans that are good for espresso are good for cappuccino as long as they work with milk. You can read our notes on each coffee to see if it’s recommended in milk. A relatively new way to enjoy cold coffee drinks is to create a cold foam. We often get asked how do you create a cold foam at home? We have included a quick video of us making a cold foam here. It’s the fun of a cappuccino delivered in cold form!
Are coffee Beans good for my Garden?
Usually when people ask us are beans good for my garden the mean are coffee grounds any good for my garden and they answer is yes, they can add essential minerals such as nitrogen potassium and phosphorus to your garden. The secret is to spread them well across your garden so it’s not too overpowering. We love sustainability here at Private Collection so we would much rather re-use coffee grounds then add them to your weekly rubbish collection. Best bet is to dry them outside in a separate container to remove any moisture.
What is the difference between supermarket coffee beans and specialty coffees?
There is obviously a lot of supermarket coffee options and a whole lot of specialty coffee roasters so here I’ll just talk generally some things you should consider. While the upside is convenience, our point of view there are two downsides to supermarket coffee. The first is that supermarket coffee is roasted to a price, which in our experience means that supermarket coffee is missing the nuanced flavours found in specialty coffee. The other is that generally coffees in the supermarket are gas flushed to remove oxygen from the packaging. This is to extend the shelf life of the coffee. Some studies have shown that this causes the beans to oxidize faster once they are opened, meaning the 1kg you buy deteriorate at a much faster rate then the natural beans you buy from us.
Having said all this, we have no hate for any types of coffee purchased in any way. In our view any way customers are discovering or consuming coffee is good for the industry as a whole. The popularity of the whole coffee industry has certainly lifted coffee farming standards over the last decades, with more quality options available than ever before. I mean where else could you have gotten a green coffee bean that has spent months in a Jack Daniels whiskey barrel?
If you’ve made it this far lets continue the discussion with a message 😊
