COFFEE PROFILE
A sweet and comforting cup with a classic Brazilian profile, lifted by a rounded fruitiness. Aromas of milk chocolate and toasted nuts lead into flavours of caramel, hazelnut, and ripe dried fruit, supported by a мягкая acidity and creamy body. The natural process enhances sweetness and texture, delivering a smooth, well-balanced finish.
About the Coffee
Brazil Donas do Café Blend is a thoughtfully assembled lot produced by women coffee growers, celebrating both quality and community. “Donas do Café,” meaning Women of Coffee, highlights the vital role female producers play across Brazil’s coffee landscape—often leading farm management, quality control, and post-harvest processing.
This blend brings together coffees selected for their consistency, sweetness, and approachable profile, making it an excellent option for espresso and milk-based applications while still offering enough character to stand alone.
Cultivation and Processing
Grown at elevations between 900 and 1,200 masl, these coffees benefit from Brazil’s favourable climate and well-established farming practices. Farms are typically small to medium in size, with a strong emphasis on careful harvesting and drying to maintain cup quality.
For this natural lot, ripe cherries are harvested and dried whole on patios or raised beds. As the fruit dries, sugars are gradually absorbed into the bean, enhancing body, sweetness, and depth of flavour.
Common varietals include Mundo Novo and Catuai, which contribute to the blend’s balance, structure, and chocolate-forward profile.
Empowering Women in Coffee
The Donas do Café initiative represents a growing movement within Brazil to recognise and support women producers. Through collaboration, access to resources, and increased visibility in the market, these programs help strengthen both quality and sustainability at origin.
By choosing coffees like this, roasters and consumers play a part in supporting gender equity and fostering long-term resilience within coffee-producing communities.
