About the Coffee
Brazil Vulcanico SC16+ Natural is a bold and dependable coffee, selected for its screen size, consistency, and strong cup profile. Designed with versatility in mind, it offers the structure and sweetness that make it an excellent base for espresso blends, while still holding its own as a single origin.
The “Vulcanico” name reflects the fertile, mineral-rich soils in which these coffees are grown, contributing to their depth, body, and characteristic chocolate-driven profile.
Cultivation and Processing
Grown at elevations between 900 and 1,200 masl, this coffee benefits from Brazil’s stable climate and well-defined harvest seasons. Farms are often medium to large-scale operations, combining traditional knowledge with modern agricultural practices to ensure consistency and quality.
For this natural lot, ripe cherries are harvested and dried whole on patios or mechanical dryers. During drying, the fruit sugars are absorbed into the bean, intensifying sweetness and body while developing deeper, more rounded flavour characteristics.
Common varietals include Mundo Novo and Catuai, known for their resilience and ability to produce balanced, crowd-pleasing cup profiles.
