Colombia Supremo SC 17/18 Washed: A Classic Expression of Colombian Clarity
Grown along the dramatic slopes of the Andes Mountains in Colombia, Colombia Supremo SC 17/18 Washed represents the country’s benchmark for quality, balance, and clean cup structure. “Supremo” refers to the largest bean size classification in Colombia (Screen 17/18), indicating excellent grading consistency and strong physical quality.
Cultivated in nutrient-rich volcanic soils and high-altitude microclimates, Colombian coffees are celebrated for their vibrant acidity, structured sweetness, and refined finish—qualities beautifully expressed in this washed lot.
Process: Fully washed—cherries are pulped, fermented, and carefully washed before drying. This method enhances clarity, bright acidity, and a crisp, well-defined flavour profile.
Altitude: Typically 1,400–2,000 masl, supporting slower cherry development and increased complexity in the cup.
Harvest & Processing: Primarily hand-picked to select ripe cherries, followed by controlled fermentation and patio or mechanical drying to ensure consistency and clean presentation.
